With its PI data cabinets, Prism offers a range of high-quality, affordable hardware for offices and data centres. Perforated components from SOLVARO are built into the doors in more than ten models. These plates, which have until now been welded into the door frames, help to cool the electronics stored inside the cabinets by letting the required air in through 3.96–4.76 round perforation with an open area of 63%. While the DC 05 steel seems transparent due to the perforation, it still offers excellent stability.
We’re ‘committed to better’ too!
So far so good – but our application engineers took the Prism motto of ‘committed to better’ to heart and worked in close collaboration with the customer to optimise the parts. Extra space around the perforated area and a perimeter contour of 1.2 mm save Prism from having to weld the parts into the doors. And the cabinet itself looks better overall because the doors are made from one piece of material. Since welding is no longer necessary, the doors are quick to mount, and they also feature a pre-made impression for the manufacturer’s logo. With new capacity freed up, our customer in England can now focus on lots of other Prism products.
