The Pegasus telehandler from construction vehicle manufacturer Dieci is a genuine all-rounder. Specifically developed for construction machinery leasing, it is correspondingly versatile. Pegasus is a telehandler, aerial platform and crane all in one. It was designed to do as much work as possible and is constantly used in practical applications. Solvaro developed two ventilation grilles for the Pegasus to allow a sufficient supply of fresh air to reach the engine during continuous operation.
The ventilation grilles are as versatile as the Pegasus itself. With their Rv 3-4 perforation, they permit adequate intake of cooling air, stabilise the plastic hood and protect the engine from dirt and stone chipping.
The best thing about this solution is that two ventilation grilles close three openings in the hood – they are reshaped for this purpose. This allows them to fit seamlessly into the hood, close several openings and give it guaranteed stability. All of this is achieved by Solvaro’s special component processing operations. During the bending process, stabilising struts that both hold the grille in shape and provide a firm hold for the entire hood are created. A lightweight yet robust plastic engine hood can therefore be used for the Pegasus.
Solvaro developed the ventilation grilles for the Pegasus telehandler specifically for this application. Solvaro makes the components for the construction vehicle to measure and delivers them ready for assembly, including CDC and powder coating to ensure reliable rustproofing.
But the fact that the ventilation grilles are bespoke solutions does not drive up the manufacturing costs for the Pegasus because Solvaro’s production operations do not incur additional tool costs. All the necessary technologies and tools are available on Solvaro’s premises, so manufacturing custom-made parts is particularly affordable.
Custom-made, permeable to air, stabilising and efficient to manufacture. Dieci opted for Solvaro’s ventilation grilles for good reasons.
