Cream of the crop under Sugarloaf Mountain

It’s not rare to see beautiful things against the backdrop of Sugarloaf Mountain. And now Valtra Brazil’s offerings come complete with SOLVARO ventilation grilles. The partnership with Polirim do Brasil reveals just how highly the Brazilians value our exceptional quality standards. Three partners demonstrate that it is possible to collaborate with success across multiple national borders and with an ocean in between them.

Transcontinental brilliance, global teamwork

In Mogi das Cruzes to the south of Rio de Janeiro, you will find the Valtra T 250 production facilities. Ventilation grilles – developed in cooperation with our team and produced by us – are added to the South Americans’ pride and joy that was named Tractor of the Year at the 2017 Brazilian Agrishow. For each and every T 250 bonnet, we pop three components straight into specially developed protective packaging and then into IPPC sea-freight crates at our Hungarian production site. The perforated plates then make their way to the port in the Slovenian city of Koper. From there, they cross the Mediterranean and then the Atlantic on a ship until they reach Porto Alegre in Brazil. Then, it’s just another 120 kilometres until our partners Polirim receive the plates and can deep-draw and coat the parts, before adding them straight into the existing plastic bonnets. Some 9000 finished bonnets – complete with our ventilation grilles – make their way to Valtra every year on a just-in-time basis. Thanks to this global partnership, a hexagonal 2–2.5 perforation in staggered rows and an open area of 64%, the engine in the T 250 is always perfectly cool, with maximum protection and an attractive design that fits right in in Brazil.

The solution at a glance

  • Ventilation grille made of perforated metal
  • Hexagonal 2–2.5 perforation in staggered rows
  • 64% air permeability
  • Packaging suitable for shipping overseas
  • International partnership and delivery to Brazil

The result of international teamwork and transcontinental shipments, SOLVARO ventilation grilles help Valtra produce the Brazilian Tractor of the Year 2017 – the T 250.
