When it comes to innovative ideas, we'll blow you away

A motorcycle needs power and a distinctive sound, and it has to look stunning, too. To get this exhaust to produce a legal but enthusiastic roar, REMUS took care of the sound and SOLVARO supplied the sheet metal.

At first, Remus only asked SOLVARO for the perforated sheets. But now SOLVARO makes the entire inside and outside pipes – complete with embossing.

The SOLVARO solution for the perfect silencer is based on the application of dual-roller technology. This enables us to manufacture absolutely cylindrical high-precision pipes, whether from non-perforated or perforated stainless steel sheeting. Bends and polygonal shapes are therefore a thing of the past at SOLVARO. After the rounding, the components are TIG-welded along their lengths. This process utilises shielding gas from above and below, thus avoiding burn-in. The welded seam does not require subsequent finishing, and there is no risk of corrosion at a later stage. The homologation number is applied by embossing to a depth of 0.2 mm, and the sound absorber’s high-gloss finish is achieved by means of electrolytic polishing.

When it comes to innovative ideas, we’ll blow you away!

The SOLVARO solution at a glance:

  • Dual roller technology
    No bending, parts are cylindrical.
No polygonal shapes in perforated sheet metal.
  • Longitudinal TIG-welding
Welding using shielding gas above and below.
No burn, no finishing, no corrosion.
  • Finishing
Embossed homologation number, depth 0.2 mm.
    High-gloss finish using electrolytic polishing.
